> This we believe

At a time when numerous companies are seeking to regain lost values, the Johnson Family has much reason to be proud of its culture. The family has always made decisions looking to the next generation, as opposed to the next quarter. Since 1887, it has defended values such as civic responsibility, care for the environment and respect for those it works with as well as for those to whom it provides services. As far back as 1927, H.F. Johnson Senior declared in his Christmas, first profit-sharing speech: "The goodwill of the people is the only enduring thing in any business. It is the sole substance... The rest is shadow!" The Johnsons would never have succeeded in building an empire which has remained in family hands for five generations, had they not vigilantly attended to its moral fabric.
